The Startup League hits the road in Portugal to meet with young startups!
The startup ecosystem in Portugal, with innovation at its core, is growing by leaps and bounds. While various international startups are fast expanding their reach in the country, the ecosystem is also strengthened by unique startup-support programs such as the Startup League.
The Startup League was started 8 months ago with a goal to boost market visibility of young and upcoming businesses from around the world. Today, the League has over 65 startups across 26 countries and 5 continents that have been benefited in multiple ways and gained visibility from investors, customers, mentors, media, influencers and peers. Through the Startup League, startups can gain access to sponsorship for exhibition booths at various startup and tech fests anywhere in the world. This essentially means that if you are a startup on board the Startup League, you can get sponsorship to exhibit at any reputed startup fest such as Web Summit, Lisbon Investment Summit, TechCrunch Disrupt, SLUSH, etc. Not only that, you also get branded booth goodies, startup-media coverage, social media shout outs and access to high-quality website domain names.
What makes the Startup League a great program for startups is that by sharing or sponsoring booth cost, the League is empowering startups to showcase themselves to a relevant audience of investors, mentors, journalists, social influencers and peers who are likely to be at the best startup events. For small businesses that are focused on optimizing marketing cost, this is a fantastic way to grab eyeballs at a much lesser cost.
Last year, The Startup League sponsored 15 innovative startups from around the world at Web Summit, Lisbon, including 3 Portuguese startups, namely www.nu-rise.tech, www.youclap.tech, and www.booknow.tech. It also gave them a great avenue to engage with other young, aspiring Portuguese startups that are now part of Startup League, they are www.sensei.tech, mtgmanager.online, and www.betacode.tech.
Foraying further into the European startup ecosystem, the Startup League sponsored 15 early/growth stage startups with 100% of their booth costs at TNW Conference, Amsterdam, as a part of the unique Tickets to Boost program – being run exclusively for startups on Radix’s domain extensions. The conference took place on the 18th and 19th of May.
This year, with the Web Summit returning to Lisbon, and other great opportunities also opening-up for the Portuguese startup community, The Startup League aims to create a much greater impact in a bigger and more exciting format! Starting 22nd May, the Startup League team will be moving across Portugal on a road trip, visiting key startup hubs of the country, meeting entrepreneurs and startup community managers. This is a great news for Portugal startups who wish to expand their reach within and outside the country.
So, if you are keen on reaching a wide audience of quality investors, customers, mentors, journalists, influencers and peers, be sure to meet the Startup League wagon in your city. And what’s more, if you are planning to exhibit your startup at Web Summit, Lisbon this year in November, Startup League is your chance to get up to 100% sponsorship for your booth at the fest along with a host of other marketing and PR benefits.
Don’t miss out, mark your calendars and get ready for The Startup League in your city!
